Julius Farley Obituary

Julius David Farley, Jr. 75, of Phoenix, AZ, departed this life to join the Angels of his Heavenly Father on March 25, 2003. Julius, affectionately known as "Buddy" to family & friends, was born Feb. 9, 1928 in Whitman, West Virginia to the late Julius D. Farley, Sr. & Gracie Jordan-Farley. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Farley of Phx., AZ, his son Jack Farley of Brighton, Michigan, daughters Janet Farley, Deborah (Jim) Schroeder, Sandra Farley-Cobos (Tony) all of Phx., AZ, and Sheila Berry of Ohio, grandchildren Nathaniel Wei-mann, Robby Bassett, Heather Farley, Torrey Cobos, Billy & Sonja Schroeder, two sisters Bertha Steele of St. Cloud, FL, & Ruth (Dee) Adams of Detroit, Michigan, sister-in-law Linda Farley of Chapmanville, West Virginia and Linda Gruner of Tempe, AZ, several step children including John Hanthorn (Sheryl) & Debbie Raynor, step grandchildren as well as step great grandchildren. Predeceased by grandson PVT. 1st Class Brandon Wickey and several siblings. Buddy served his country in the US Army with the 101st Airborne Division as a Paratrooper. He was a veteran of the Korean War and received an Honorable Discharge. Buddy held several offices including past Commander at the American Legion Post #75 and was a member of the Honor Guard & Legionnaire 40/8. Buddy was a career Journeyman Lineman Electrician and was a loyal union member of I.B.E.W. local #769. Memorial service will be held on Monday, March 31, 2003, at 9:00 am at Phoenix First Assembly of God located 13613 N. Cave Creek Rd.
