Kent Knudson Obituary

Knudson, Kent Randolph
Age 60, passed away on Sept 25,2010. Although schooled in Engineering Mathematics, Kent's greatest contributions are the result of his life long career as an photographer. Having licensed his works to commercial stock agencies, advertisers, and marketing companies, Kent's art has dominated & influenced all of his life's pursuits. Kent's later life was radically altered as a result of an unfortunate cascading injustice at the hands of the government. Compelled into a new life of social justice and activism, Kent sought to fight the injustices he has suffered as a consequence of his "Cowcrap" ordeal. Kent is survived by his sister Cathy Leavitt, nephews Brent Leavitt & Thomas Leavitt, niece Paula Thompson, companion Sarah Fox, longtime friend Sham Rao, his cat Ewok, & the Social Justice Activist Community. Memorial: Oct 6th at 7pm, Arizona Biltmore Resort. Burial: Snowflake Cemetery, Snowflake, AZ, Sat, Oct 9th, 2010, at 3pm. More info: Call Sham 623-229-4754

11th ave still misses you Kent. Remember the Tiger story? That was so funny. I was calling my cat, Tiger. "Tiger, Tiger, Tiger". You spoke up from the other side of the fence, " I have been called many things, but never a tiger". Hilarious. You had a good sense of humor! We miss you.

We still miss you Kent. It is not the same without you. You worked so hard to have a garden for the neighborhood and your efforts will never be forgotten. Our friendship meant a lot to me.

His spirit will live on in his photographs and his contribution to the activist community. I will think of him every time I hear a coyote call in the night. To me, it will be the signal to rally around a cause and right an injustice.

I will always remember Kent and his thought provoking conversations. I appreciate him thinking about my children when we came to visit him and giving each of them a little gift.

I think he gave most of them a pad of sticky paper, which sounds like a funny gift, but my kids(being young) loved it. And enjoyed drawing and pulling apart the pieces.

Best wishes to him, family, and friends. Rachel
