Doctor Kevin Merle Peck

Scottsdale - Doctor Kevin Merle Peck (62) passed away on April 6, 2017 in his home. He was the husband of Doctor Hillary Krizner Peck. They shared 27 years of marriage together. Born in Connellsville, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Dorothy and Merle Peck. He graduated from Laurel Highlands High School and then attended Pennsylvania State University where he graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1979. He then worked at Rockwell for 7 years. He returned to school at Creighton University with his wife for Dental School and graduated in 1990. He and his wife then moved to Arizona and worked at various dental practices before starting Peck Family Dentistry. He was a member of North Scottsdale United Methodist Church where he regularly participated in bible study. In his free time, he enjoyed camping and fishing with his many friends. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor. He is survived by his wife Hillary, his daughters Meryl and Lizzie Peck, his mother Dorothy Peck, and his siblings Colleen Zielinsky and Brent Peck.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 15th at 2:00 PM at North Scottsdale United Methodist Church, 11735 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale, AZ. The viewing will be held Saturday, April 14th from 5-9PM and Sunday April 15th from 11AM-1PM at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 E Bell Rd. Scottsdale, AZ 85254. There will be additional viewing at the church prior to the service beginning at 1:30PM. There will be a memorial service in Uniontown, PA at a later date, to be determined. We have been patients of Peck Family Dentistry since the first day they opened this practice. My first visit I was looking at the Incline in Pittsburgh and I knew that this would be our dentist, fellow Steelers fans! We are just tremendously saddened by Dr. Peck's passing. He was such a kind, gentle man that would always talk Pittsburgh sports with me. We will surely miss him, rest in peace Dr. Peck. Our heartfelt condolences to his family.

When I first starting going to Dr. Peck's office (at the advice of my wife who knew I didn't like dentists very much) I was told by the office staff (Nancy, I'm looking at you) that he was a real music buff. We got into a discussion about AC/DC. I told him that the "Back in Black" album was one of the best albums ever made and asked him where he thought it would rank in the top albums of all time. Well...he pulls out his Rolling Stone Catalog of the top 500 albums of all time (yes, it was in the office for ready use) and proceeds to tell me that it was ranked 82nd. WOW, a great dentist and a musical history buff!! I already miss that man. RIP Dr. Peck. No more Cat Stevens! (another story).
