Laura and I started our degrees in Interior Design at about the same time and had classes together over the past 2 years. She was a bright person who exuded class, and always had a sweet smile for you. I was so sorry to hear of her passing and learn that we would no longer be seeing her at school. May God's peace fill the hole you may feel with His enduring presense.
Sincerely,
Rachael

Laura was a great friend of mine in college. She had a wonderful ability to drop everything and laugh and have a good time. I thank her for all of the great memories we shared and some of the not so fun times. Most of all, thanks for being my friend. It is so sad to hear of her recent illness and her passing. She will truly be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Laura was a friend/roommate/sorority sister in college at U of I. She was such a sprightly person! We watched her endure and overcome the leukemia, without surprise because she was such a fighter. I did not know of her recent illness and was deeply saddened when I heard the news. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone she leaves behind. She will be missed but not forgotten.

When I think of Laura, I see her bright, smiling face and hear her laugh. She had such an amazing energy - so full of life. I am so sorry for John, her parents, her family, and all of her close friends. She will be missed by everyone who had the priviledge of knowing her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Though I did not know her well, she was truly a beautiful woman and an inspiration to many of us. My deepest sympathy goes out to her family and friends.

Laura was a very dedicated student. She inspired me with the work she produced for her condition. Laura never complained, kept on task and felt very sorry for the days she was absent. She really put a great perspective on life for all of us. She thought being absent for from class for her treatments was too much. Where some students would call in their absences for a cough and a runny nose. I feel very honored to have Laura as a student of mine. She conquered space planning with flying colors! Laura would always give a hand and assist other classmates. I also feel very gracious that she is peacefully with God and assisting him with space planning in his Kingdom.
Laura will be missed but never forgotten.
Many Blessings, Sheryl McCaleb

Laura was friends with my daughter, Hillary, throughout high school and after. We loved Laura and enjoyed having her in our home. We were so relieved when she was healed of leukemia and didn't know of her recent problems. We send our love and sympathy to all of her family.
