Sweetman, Laura Lisa
42, of Gilbert, AZ passed away on 12/9/2013. Dr. Laura Sweetman was born on August 4, 1971 in Lampasas, Texas. After graduation from St. George Medical School Dr. Sweetman completed her residency at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix. Dr. Sweetman was a pediatric neurologist serving the Phoenix/Gilbert area. She was mostly recently associated with Barrow Neurological Institute and Phoenix Children's Hospital. Husband David Sweetman, 3 sons David II, Jackson & Blake Sweetman. Parents Douglas Williams & Karen Williams Scott, Step-Mother, Donna Shanahan, Siblings Christopher Williams, Justin (Landy) Williams, Reagan Williams & Maile Geis. Friday - January 3, 2014 - 10 a.m.
Mission Community Church

Laura was a great doctor and was good to my daughter and always spent extra time to talk with her about school and things she was going to do my daughter and I loved her and miss her very much there is no one in this world that could ever replace her as my daughters doctor she was truly one of a kind as a person and doctor

Dr. Sweetman, you have been a part of our lives since 2007 and we know you were the angel we needed. You helped my grand daughter in so many ways and you were the only doctor she felt comfortable with because she knew you truly cared. You always took the time to answer all of our questions and calmed us when we were in the middle of a stressful situation. You could always put us at ease. You will be missed more than you can imagine. Our prayers go out to your sons and family, and I know they all now have a very special guardian angel watching over them.

Our family is truly heartbroken by the news Dr. Sweetman's passing! Dr. Sweetman was one of the kindest, most caring doctors our family has ever been to. She truly cared about her patients and did not stop until there were answers. Both my daughter and one of my sons were patients of hers. Because of her, we have answers for my son and were in the process of finding answers for our daughter. Her and I have had some great conversations over the past year and a half and her family was always mentioned at length in these conversations. She loved her family so much and I know her legacy will live on through them. We will miss her greatly and will always remember her. We are praying for her family who she loved so much! Dr. Sweetman, thank you for being such an honorable and wonderful person!

We first met Dr. Sweetman 4 years ago when our miracle CMV baby was born (and miraculously his brain was fine). Then again seeing her at church with her family a few years later. So blessed to have known Dr. Sweetman, and also know that she knew the Lord. Praying for her family to feel peace and God's presence at this time.

I met Dr. Sweetman for first time when my girls doctor send referal she was the first and wont be the same she is a special angel and will be missed. I love laura she was awesome woman she knew her job really well and explian things in detail to me very caring and had and still has a special gift. She could put a smile on your face. I am deeply sad, i feel for her family she always talk about her boys how wonderful they are. I will miss you forever and always. I know she is watching over us all and wanting us to always carry the smile on are face and remember all the fun and great times with her. I love you laura sweetman...
