I had been a long term patient of Dr Frazin in 1994 I saw him before moving out of state, when he walked in he said "I don't know what this means, but we have known each other longer than we have known our wives" A fine friend, I still tell story's of about him.

Dr. Frazin was one of those rare physicians who treated everyone with kindness and care. He literally saved my son's sight after an accident and gave me, a VERY worried mom at that time, comfort and re-assurance beyond measure.

My husband Neil and I had the great privilege to meet Larry and Fran many years ago when they came to assist the Maricopa County Elections Department's Early Voting Ballot Processing function. What began a "chance" acquaintance, blossomed into a wonderful and lasting friendship.
Larry was the epitome of greatness tucked inside humbleness. Though he had had an illustrious career, he was just 'Larry' to us--a guy we truly loved.
Some funny little memories that still make me chuckle: Larry came in to work and asked how he could help. I asked him to build some boxes and handed him a tape gun and cardboard boxes. After a quick demonstration, Larry got a good start and then... the next thing I noticed was his fingers were bleeding! The teeth on the tape gun had taken Larry--and the rest of us for that matter-- by surprise for sure! Who would have thought that a surgeon could be bested by a tape gun of all things?! We had a little laugh at the irony as I promptly took the tape gun away, cleaned and bandaged his fingers, and joked with him that the doctor needed doctoring.
There was also the time Larry left a note on the Election Director's car windshield admonishing her about how she had parked in HIS space. Larry of course did not know it was Karen's car UNTIL she came into the room where he was working with the note in hand. She read the note to the whole crew and there was a slight gasp in the room. Everyone was wondering who in the world would have the audacity to do such a thing?! Then, Larry, slightly embarrassed, identified himself as the note's author. After a moment of shocked silence,
the whole room roared with laughter, including the Director. Secretly, Karen knew it was Larry but thought it would be quite funny to make a "presentation" in his honor. Needless to say, from that time on, Larry refrained from leaving notes on people's windshields while working at the Election Department. The side note here is that, before Karen made her visit, Larry told me what he had done and why he did it. It never occurred to me that it would be my boss's car and I could become an unknowing accomplice!
That was how it was with Larry. He gave us friendship, he made us laugh and he was a model of integrity.
Thank you Larry. You will be sorely missed but never forgotten.
To Fran and family, we send our deepest, heartfelt condolences.
With love,
Melissa and Neil Manoz
