Leah Stevens Obituary

Leah Ruth Stevens, In Loving Memory of a Mother, Sister, Friend and Fiance, spent her life caring for others. As a mother she was caring and nurturing, as a sister she was encouraging and supportive, as a friend she was selfless and giving, as a fiance she was a caring and loving partner. But most of all, she was our best friend who positively impacted the lives of everyone she knew. Leah, quietly passed away on June 12, 2005 in her Phoenix home where she was surrounded by her loving family. Leah is survived by her children Ray Lawliss, Cindy Fetty, Corinna Stevens and Shelly Holland, and fiance John Shanks, who will forever hold her within their hearts. Her brothers and sister; John Stevens, David Stevens, Bill Stevens and Elizabeth Fritz share cherished memories of a sister who was always there for them. Her dear mother Ruth Stevens will treasure the memory of her daughter who became the woman she always knew she would be. Her family of nieces, nephews and grandchildren will hold special memories of their Nana close to their hearts and remember those special birthday outings that were shared only with Nana. Leah Stevens' Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, June 14th at Best Funeral Services and Chapel, 9380 West Peoria Avenue at 6:00 p.m.
