Grandpa, I wish I took more interest in your life and stories. I imagine them to be rich and fascinating. I want to know where I came from and what it meant to be Jewish in America. I wish I knew more about your parents, their arrival to America, and what Judaism meant to you. It feels like such a loss to only now realize this longing. Thank you for consistently bringing family together and weaving Jewish tradition into our lives.

Leo and Annette were our neighbors on Jacob Lane. Leo took special time and care to get to know Jim and I and was very loving and accepting of our new daughter Taylor when she arrived. What we loved best about Leo was his willingness to accept people for who they were. He was a peaceful man and worked very hard at his friendships. We learned alot from Leo and we miss him terribly.

Although it has been years since I last saw you, I can still picture your warm face. You were a gentle and caring man. I can still remember when my mom graduated from ASU in 1995. I was sitting next to you and Annette as she walked up to accept her diploma; you were both so proud and excited for my mom. It inspired me, and still does till this day, to realize the importance of education and to pursue my dreams of being a Veterinarian. Thank you for your motivation. You will be missed terribly.

There was nothing Leo loved more than family and life itself! Since our first family reunion, organized by Leo, we have gathered yearly sharing the joys of new life and the sorrow of those lost. For Leo and his great companion Annette, it was an annual event never to be missed. Now, as we gather each year, Leo's spirit will lead the way as we cannot let his legacy down. We were fortunate to have him as a relative and friend.

Leo was a gentle man who put others first. He had an ear for listening and a passion for life. He lived his life unselfishly and will be missed. I was fortunate to have had him in my life.

Growing up in Sunnyslope in the 1960's was made all the more fun by the best kid's backyard on the block. For those of you that were there, you know I am talking about the Weiner's house. Mr. and Mrs. Weiner always provided a great environment for the kids in the neighborhood. Mr. Weiner, your kindness, generosity and character will be greatly missed.

We love you, The Connors

Dad. I will miss you. Thank you for the wonderful experiences you shared with me throughout my life. You have taught me how to give to others that do not have the same opportunities that we have been blessed with. Love. Howard
