Louie Jacob Obituary
Scottsdale - Louie (Leo) Jacob (age 82), went to be with the Lord on January 5th, 2018. Louie died peacefully at home surrounded by family. He was the husband of Nancy Jacob. They shared 45 years of marriage together. He was the father of two sons Aerin & Nelson Jacob.
Born in Detroit, Michigan in 1935 he was the son of immigrant parents Anthony and Sadie Jacob. He graduated from seminary school in San Bernardino, California and also did post-graduate studies at The University of California, Berkeley. After serving many years as a Catholic priest he left the priesthood in 1971 and eventually worked for more 35 years as an insurance advisor.
He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church where he served for several years on the liturgy committee. He also volunteer coached youth basketball and served as a board member for the North Valley Community Basketball Association
He is survived by spouse Nancy Jacob, children Aerin Jacob and his wife Jeannine, grandchildren Christian Jacob, Tanner Jacob and Austin Jacob. He was predeceased by his son Nelson Jacob.
The visitation will be on Monday January 15th held from 6:30pm until 8:30pm at Hansen Desert Hills Mortuary located at 6500 E. Bell Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85254. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, January 16th at 10am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church located at 11300 N. 64th Street, Scottsdale, AZ 85254.
