Malcolm Knock Obituary

Knock, Malcolm A.
93, of Mesa, Arizona passed away on September 14, 2016. Malcolm was born and raised in Willows, California. He served his country in the Army Air Corp during World War II. After the war he married the love of his life, Nancy B. Knock, who preceded him in death after 52 years of marriage. He graduated with a degree in Geophysics from UC Berkeley. He spent his career in oil exploration, from the Gulf of Mexico to the Arctic Circle, and retired as Chief Geophysicist at Amoco. He is survived by his 4 daughters (Kathleen, Susan, Janet, and Judith), 6 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, September 17th at First United Methodist Church of Mesa, at 11am. Because Malcolm and Nancy loved visiting our nation's parks, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the National Park Foundation.

Malcolm & Nancy were very dear friends and we visited Malcolm every time we were in Mesa. We cherish the memories of all of the Knock family when we all lived in Lakeview Village in Calgary Ab Canada. We enjoyed our visits with Malcolm and Janet these last few years. Malcolm was a dear and good friend and always fun to be with and we thank the daughters for their thoughtfulness in sending us his obituary. Love and sympathy to all the family.
