This poem is dedicated to my Tata Manuel

To Tata Manuel with love, always…

You mean so much to us and have given each and everyone a gift
Which is the meaning of Familia

You taught us the meaning of love in a Familia
To care for one another, to be there for each other
So on this day we stand together and never alone

You lived seventy-seven years of life and all for your Familia
Although now, we may be shedding tears, we have no fears
Now, all we hear is God calling you home

Tata you have watched us all grow, and you have a lot to show
You have a beautiful Familia of hijas and hijos
And wonderful nietas and nietos

Tata you have accomplished your dreams and may you be proud
You’ve always welcomed everyone in your home
And never left anyone out of a crowd
May you travel that beautiful stream on your journey home
Tata, we know you have walked many miles
But no one will ever replace your smile.

May God welcome you home with open arms
Into the Gates of Heaven
Tata, you’ll be our Angel shinning down on us
May you rest in peace and watch over all of us

Love always your nieta, Alisa Barcelo
