Margaret Hiller Obituary

Hiller, Margaret Imogene
88, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, December 3, 2014. She was born in Columbia, Missouri on November 24, 1926. A child of both Missouri and Arizona, she had memories of living in a historic house on Central Avenue in Phoenix and riding the early downtown trolley system. After earning a Master's Degree in education from Arizona State University, she taught at Creighton elementary school in Phoenix, where she met Len Hiller, her soul mate and husband of 58 years. They had three children, and the family took countless hiking and camping trips throughout Arizona, with special love for the Superstition Mountains. She and her husband were blessed with three grandchildren, perhaps Margaret's greatest joy. In later years she took great pleasure in neighbors and friends in the Arcadia area. Survivors include husband Len Hiller, children Harry Hiller, Ellen Pfeiff, and Len C. Hiller, and grandchildren Shawn, Katy and Ryan O'Rourke (Ellen's children). Donations are welcome to Hospice of the Valley; services will be held only by immediate family.

Len & family,
I remember her when she first came to Creighton as a PE Teacher, then later when you and Bennie were at Papago I was surprised to find out you two were married. She was a great lady. We are thinking of you at this time and pray for your comfort. Love Jimmie & Barbara James
