Marilou Prosser Obituary

Prosser, Marilou Foster
1929 - 2016. Born in Oklahoma, Marilou married Lee Foster and moved to Arizona in 1948. She was a stay-at-home mother and housewife until 1960, and from 1961 - 1964 she worked for renowned Arizona State Legislator Polly Rosenbaum. Marilou was most proud of setting up the Legislative Bill tracking system still in use today. She worked in the Clarendon and Deer Valley School Districts and was secretary to Superintendent Bill Keegan from 1975 - 1981. Upon her retirement, Marilou and Lee moved to Sedona where she lived until their divorce. She loved the Red Rocks, was a dancing member of Grannies on the Rocks, and hiked the Grand Canyon at age 63. Marilou and second husband, Bob Prosser, enjoyed the outdoors and road trips with friends until she fell ill in 2009. She was slowly lost to her family through Alzheimer's disease. Marilou is survived by her beloved family: step-sister Jackie (Walt) Brinson, daughters Marilee (Dr. Charles R.) Stillion and Valerie (R. Kerry) Riedler, grandchildren Christopher (Lisa) Stillion, Sara (Eric) Brown, Lindsey Fees (John Parsi), Amelia (Chris) Hansom and Kyle (Tracy Li Zhen) Fees, great-grandchildren Alley, Ethan, Hannah and Abigail. Her life will be commemorated in a private memorial service. Richardson Funeral Home, Tempe, Az is compassionately serving the family.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends during this difficult time. I hope that the promise in 1 Thessalonians 4:14 can bring comfort. Knowing that there is a hope for the ones we have lost in death can be so reassuring.
