Mark Brentlinger Obituary

Brentlinger, Mark
died December 26, 2016 at age 59. In his years here, he accomplished many things. At 16 he trained as an Alpha Romeo mechanic. He worked as a real estate broker and business entrepreneur. Cars and airplanes became a life-long passion. The inner workings, beauty and speed of any vehicle put a smile on his face. He loved the beauty of the Arizona desert where he rode his dirt bike with friends. When spending summers in the North Woods of Wisconsin he loved ripping up the lake with his jet boat and waterskies. The Fourth of July was his favorite holiday, the louder the booms, the better. Mark was known for his quirky sense of humor and great smile. He loved his dogs, friends, and his family. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, LuAnn Brentlinger, his daughter, Melissa (Nick) Reese, his son, James (Kaleen) Brentlinger and his mother, Mary Nysted. He is also survived by step brother and sister Ken Brentlinger and Keri Brentlinger and half-brother Charles Jayson Brentlinger. He is preceded in death by his father Jayson Brentlinger and sister Jayleen Brentlinger. I keep remembering when Mark and I were both 16 years old (Springtime 1974). One Friday night I had mentioned to Mark that the following Saturday night I was "volunteered" to escort a woman to a prom that absolutely did not want to attend.

Mark tried to "kidnap" me to California to get me out of going to the prom!

Mark, I know your heart was in the right place, at least I think it was.

I talk to Mark out loud almost every day at work. As a Fleet Manager, situations arise, as they also did at Beetle Body. I believe that Mark gives me ques via, a noise, something falling of a shelf, perhaps I glance at something that results in a solution. Or... Curses in frustration right along with me. I miss you my friend, love you more! Happy to have shared life with you!

Wow buddy -- i cant begin to tell you how sorry i am to read this. Please allow me to share a memory of Mark fixing my car right after a motorcycle mishap, where Mark was on crutches and had his leg in a cast at the tender age of 16. I was very impressed to see him contort his body to fix my car's ignition system.

And to this day i remember him teaching me how to fix a car ignition. Thank you Mark!
