Mary Burzynski Obituary

Mary Jo Burzynski, 53, of Avondale, Arizona died Friday, August 10, 2007, as the result of traffic accident that also claimed the life of her best friend, Bobby Miles. Mary Jo was born on September 12, 1953, in South Bend, Indiana to the late Stanley and Bernice (Farrell) Burzynski and had lived in Arizona for 30 years. She was employed with Qwest Communications in Arizona. Surviving is her brother, Tom Burzynski of South Bend; nieces, Megan Burzynski of Jacksonville, Florida, Shelby Burzynski of Interlachen, Florida; and a nephew, Alex Burzynski of Interlachen, Florida. A brother, John V. Burzynski and a niece, Mary Catherine Burzynski preceded her in death. Her nieces and nephew were very special to Mary Jo and they will miss her deeply. Mary Jo graduated from the former LaSalle High School in 1971. She began her career with Indiana Bell in South Bend in 1971 and transferred to Phoenix, AZ in 1977. She remained close to her family and friends in Indiana and had many friends in Arizona. Mary Jo loved to travel throughout the United States and abroad. Mary Jo brought sunshine into this world where ever she was. She had a smile that no one could forget. Mary Jo will live forever in our hearts and will never be forgotten by everyone who's life she touched. A Memorial Mass will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 12, 2007 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church 415 North Brookfield Street, South Bend, Indiana. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements by, Kaniewski Funeral Home, South Bend, Indiana.
