I graduated with Matt Lee from Devry in June 1997. Our graduation party was at my house. Matt and I made jungle juice. I also took him out to the Superstition Mountains that year for a small trip. I thought of him the other day, and his many tattoo's and was shocked to see of his passing.
I just want the family to know that Matt had an impact on others lives. He was a good friend and I am sorry we lost contact after graduation.

It has been a rough holiday season without you. But I love having your spirit with me always. And now with Dexter and Ben gone, I know you are riding with Ben and harrassing Dexter all the way. I love you!

The holidays have come and gone, and we missed you terribly. I missed not having you here to love, laugh, and fight with. You always added so much flavor to our get-togethers. Heather, I am sorry to hear of your loss. I just hope you realize that you are not the only one feeling the loss. Matt touched a lot of people's hearts. Many people including myself called him friend. I worked with Matt for a couple of years and enjoyed his love of life and free spirit. I wish I could have met the woman that made Matt's life complete. I know things were just starting to fall into place for both of you. Keep him in your heart and memories and he will always be with you. I will always remember Matt and smile.

Heather I am sorry for your loss and even though I only met Matt 1 time, I did enjoy his company. The only true memory I have of Matt is when he came over with Jamie and I was really worried about whether or not he liked me. But that went away when I saw how he took Belle into his lap and read her a very animated Dr.Seuss book. He just didn't seem like that type, but he was so comfortable doing it. That means a lot for a man to be comfortable reading to a child. From then on, I knew that if Jamie and I did get married that he would be a great uncle to my children.
Even though we are related through marriage, you will and are still my sister in law and I will always think of you as that.
God bless both you and Matt and I love you both.

For my little bro, I can't believe that your gone especially since we were just talking about you guys coming and visiting. With the way we got along as kids,I can't believe how much I miss you. It is hard to belive that the motorcycle got the best of you. I thought for sure that if we could survive each other, we could survive anything. But the best of life and living got the best of you.
It's a shame that since you have found happiness for once in your life, that it had to all end so soon. But now that your gone in body, I know your spirit will be with us all.
I know that your friends and family meant so much to you and I know now that you and mom are angels in heaven and that you will be looking over us all and shaking your head and chuckeling.
God bless you. I love you.
Heather as for you, I am sorry for your loss and I want you to know that you will always be a part of my family. I want you to know that my love goes out to you and that you are always welcome at our home and we love you.
We pray that life will pick you back up and bring you happiness and joy. We love you sis.

I just wanted to thank everyone for all the love and support you have given myself and Matt. He will be greatly missed by myself and I am sure by all of you also. He always kept a dear place in his heart for everyone he met. And as we say goodbye to him today, I know he is watching and feeling extremely blessed by everyone there and everyone that is thinking of him. Thank you all for being a part of both of our lives.

Matt,
I'm still in disbelief that you are gone as your time here was short lived. You have managed to touch so many lives including mine. I've been blessed for the opportunity to have been your friend. You left this world doing what you treasured, riding your motorcycle. My hope for you is that you'll never stop riding, my friend.
Heather,
You have my deepest sympathy and I will keep you in my prayers.

There is already a huge void in our office since we lost Matt. He was always happy and easy-going and he will be dearly missed by all of us. Matt never missed an opportunity to let you know what he thought about any subject and THAT is what I loved about him. You could always count on him for an honest response or thought.
We miss you Matty.

Heather,
I am so thankful that you introduced me to Matt.
I want you to know that my life is different and better now because Matt was in it.
Matt convinced me to ride, and made it seem easy. He expressed confidence in my abilities and was always willing to give me advice about how to ride.
Matt always pushed me to become a better rider and expand the paradigm of my skills. Matt willingly shared his passion for riding as well as his expertise and I enjoyed his carefree lifesty and his wonderful sense of humor and play.
I will miss the stories he would tell of his adventures at work, airports, and especially, those on the bike! He brought joy, adventure, and a freedom to my life that I would not have found otherwise. He made a difference to me, and I always looked forward to seeing him again for another adventure on or off the bikes.
I will especially miss the way he just accepted me into his circle of friends and introduced me as his friend and riding buddy. Even when I had that lame cruiser, he still let me hang out while deep inside, I knew that he hated the fact that I was not yet on a real bike (Sport Bike).
So…
To Matt I say, "Thank you for letting me be a part of your life and for being like a big brother with all that entails from the teasing to the teaching. It was a great ride. I am honored to say I knew you. I am honored to say we were friends."
