Michael Bechtel Obituary

Bechtel, Michael Lynn
59, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 11, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Mike left a legacy of R & B Ranch, Inc. in Cave Creek, where he established a boarding and training facility along with his partner, Sue Russell, in 1996. Mike also was with Wayward Wind Desert Tours as a knowledgable guide, and managed their desert cookouts as a talented BBQ cook and host. He did two tours in Vietnam during that war as a U. S. Marine. He is survived by his daughter Lelonie Bechtel Holm and son-in-law Chad Holm, three grandchildren, and his sons Michael and Robert. Services will be private at the National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix. There will be a celebration of his life for his friends and family at R & B Ranch, date to be determined. Instead of flowers, please make a donation to Hospice of the Valley.
