Michael Rose Obituary

Michael Patrick Rose, (60) born December 4, 1945 in Fresno, California passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends, August 20, 2006, after a valiant and courageous fight with cancer. Mike is survived by his loving wife Lynette. Mike was a family man. He loved everything family. Camping trips, reunions, Christmas gift exchanges, Luaus, game nights, Lake Powell, family service projects, family dances-- all things family! Mike was awed by nature and humbled by Heavenly Father' grand creations. He loved music and enjoyed any singing opportunity. He loved people and enjoyed any opportunity to serve them. Mike's tender, gentle heart endeared everyone to him. Mike said the best thing that ever happened to him was his baptism into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1979. He continued devoted throughout the rest of his life, serving in many capacities. Mike said, the greatest thing that ever happened to him was his eternal marriage to his sweetheart Lynette on August 20, 1988. (note his death date, their 18th Anniversary). Visitation 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday August 24, 2006 at Bunker's Garden Chapel 33 N. Centennial Way, Mesa, Arizona. Also 1 hr prior to service. Dear Lynette, I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I know Mike has gone to prepare a place for you and he is up there with your father. He was a wonderful man. I always loved it when we would run in to both of you and would get a chance to visit with him. He was always full of smiles (as you were). My thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Evelyn Harless

Mike's friends at Bank of America remember him best for his wonderful smile and the way he stayed up all night walking for a walk against cancer only months before he himself was diagnosed. We will always remember you Mike.
