Cooley, Mishelle Lin
41, of Tucson, AZ passed away on February 8, 2009. She left us unexpectedly. She lived her life the way she wanted and touched many lives that crossed her path. She brought to this world, and left behind, warmth and a legacy of caring and a joy for life that is a foundation for all of us to follow. We will carry her memory, her smile and her sense of humor in our hearts until we see her again. One of the highest qualities of her life was helping all in need, a truly genuine "Good Samaritan". She is survived by her mother Mary Johnson and Step-father Walt Johnson, her two step-sisters Sarah Cedergren and Kristi Dorrell, her maternal aunts Marty Dalhaug and Marla Johnson. Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held Sunday, February 15, 2009; 2:30 -4:30 at Vito's Restorante, 1947 N. Lindsay Road, Mesa AZ (McKellips & Lindsay, SE side) In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Phoenix Children's Hospital, 2929 E Camelback Rd. Suite 122, Phoenix, AZ 85016 "in Memory of Mishelle L. Cooley".

Fourteen years, I just can't wrap my head around that number Mishelle. So much has changed yet it still feels like yesterday that we were at John's house, celebrating his life while you also gave Sadie formerly to our daughter Catherine. Such a special and kind gesture on your part. May you be a peace with John beside you and Sadie at your feet.

My condolences to Mary and the rest of Mishelles family for their loss. Mishelle was a good friend to me starting way back in High school. I have many fond memories of her through the years. Some of my favorites were they way her and I would get in her red mustang back in our high school days and just drive with no real destination in mind. Mishelle would stop at a stop sign out in the middle of nowhere, get out of the car and run around doing the "Chinese Fire Drill". She usually picked an intersection with at least one other vehicle so that I would get embarrassed by her antics. It worked like a charm most of time. Sometimes we would end up at Sky Harbor in Phoenix where she would disappear and then play phone tag with me using the white paging phones in the terminals. Never a dull moment around Mishelle. I am very saddened to hear of your passing and will deeply miss you my friend. I will always cherish the fond memories that you gave me.

I can't believe how time has flown. It's surprising to me sometimes... that you are gone. Just the other day Mike and I were talking about you. We had both just realized that we still had your phone numbers in our cell phones. We both looked at each other. I don't know about him, but I just could not make myself delete them.

I cant believe its been two years since we went to Mexico. One of the local churches is celebrating the Festival we saw in Puerto Vallarta and it made me think of you. You would be turning 42 if you were here. How I wish I could tell you Happy Birthday just one more time.

To my beautiful sister, the one who I had the most amazing times with. We were like two pea's in a pod you and me. Always having the time of our lives, laughing at mom behind her back, and making faces. LOL Good times!! The casino's were amazing fun, and then going to the bar's and picking up guys. LOL We did a lot, and I was so set on this summer with you, and it breaks my heart that you have parted from us all. It saddens me greatly, my sister, my best friend, all i have is memories to cherish now. It is amazing how you took me in and accepted me for everything even with the baggage, lol.. And the funny thing is I was the oldest, and you had the heighth and the larger feet apparently i got the short end of the stick. LOL.. It is heartbreaking to know i can't call or text you or get those crazy emails from you :). You had the biggest heart and expected nothing in return always there to lend an ear and support those who needed you the most. You truly are a beautiful person, and it angers me that your gone, because i have to hold what i had. But I know you will help me, and find that beautiful strength you had and force me to cope and belive. I love you for everything you are and were. I would and could not have asked God for a better sister than you. Your like an angel to me, i see you everywhere, especially when i see butterflies and purple!! To my beautiful sister! It has been harder than I thought losing you. I wanted so much to have the summer with you, and hit the casino's again. Oh and don't forget hangin at the bar pickin up the cute guy's LoL. It wont be the same honey. I love you so much!

I knew Mishelle only through an online chat room. She always impressed me as a delightful person and one who was probably every bit as genuine in "real life" as she was online.

To Walt, her dad, I say "I cannot fathom what I would feel at the loss of a child. Please know that you are being remembered in my prayers today and in the future as you adjust to Mishelle's passing. I met Mishelle in chat also and got to meet her for the first time at what we called a mini chat meet. She was a wonderful person and always managed to make me laugh and smile. I lost touch w/Mishelle sometime ago and VERY sadden by her passing. I am sure she is there for someone in the heavens as she was for people on earth. Her spirit will linger forever. Mishelle (Furbth) was such a happy presence in my life. We often read and commented on each other's writings. I admired her whimsy spirit and humor. When I saw her it would become my mission to make her laugh, and laugh she would; it was difficult to be in a bad mood when Mishelle was around. I am thankful that I got to know such a special lady, regretful that she suffered quietly when so many would have been there for her in an instant. It is a testament to her character that she wouldn't want to make anyone worry. To my Lovely Aunt Mishelle;
I am at a loss for all words. My hearts very saddened and confused. It seems like yesterday that you took me and my sister to that golf land thing, during christmas. I always will remember playing dress up with you and painting our nails. O and my favorite hanging in the den @ grass Valley..You always made me laugh, even when i wasn't suppose to. It was twice as much fun going to granny & grandpa's to see you too.! Every time i see purple i totally think of you and will never forget that. When we loose someone like Mischelle we think of what we might have done with a few more years and we wonder what we are going to do with the rest of ours.
