Monica Lisa Williams Barraza, also known by her nicknames "Mica" or "Mona", earned her angel wings and left the physical world at the age of 56, on December 16, 2016 in Phoenix, AZ. She is survived by her mother, Elisa Gurule Maya; dad, David Humphrey; children, Monique, Carlos and Cerena Barraza; father of children, Chuck Barraza; brother, "Tyke" James R. Williams III (Elizabeth), his daughter, Celia Williams Robidoux (Scott), and sister-in-law, Marta Williams; sister, Melanie Humphrey Moreno (Luis), their children Marcello and Marisol. She is also greatly missed by her beloved dogs. Mica has been greeted by those who proceeded her in death; father, James R. Williams Jr.; grandparents, Carmen and Sebastian Maya (maternal); Catherine "Red" and James R. Williams Sr. (paternal); nephew, Shane Angel Williams. Mica was born January 3, 1960 and was raised in Ajo, AZ. It was 1977 when Mica made her life and home in Phoenix/Glendale, AZ. She worked for AT&T for 10 years before she took on the role as homemaker and the best mother any child could have asked for. She devoted her entire heart to those she loved that she has been seen as a mother and sister to many. As a generous, loyal, lively woman she always became the life of any room. She will be remembered as the greatest friend, sister, daughter, aunt, and mother. Rock on Mona! Family will have a private mass and will have a public celebration of life in January, 2017.
