Murry Allen Obituary

Allen, Murry Newton
84, of Macomb, formerly of Blandinsville, pased away at 7:10 p.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb. He was born on February 9, 1930 in Blandinsville to Lawrence and Iona Bixler Allen. He married Mary Lou Harding on March 24, 1957 in Memphis Missouri. She survives. Also surviving are one son, Mark (Christine) Allen of Macomb; one sister, Evelyn Hainline of Blandinsville; four brothers, Jack (Diane) Allen of Reno, Nevada, Jeri (Carol) Allen of Tempe, Arizona, Macks Allen of Blandinsville and Carl (Lynn) Allen of Blandinsville and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Matthew Allen; one sister, Arlene Simpson and one brother, Lawrence Allen.Murry lived in Blandinsville until 1960 when he moved to Phoenix, Arizona. He moved back to Illinois in 1989 and returned to Arizona in 2002. He moved to Macomb in 2006. He worked as a manager for Motorola for 35 years. He was a member of the Blandinsville Christian Church and attended the Maple Avenue Christian Church after he moved to Macomb. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Blandinsville Christian Church with Reverends Donnie Case and A. Lee Unger officiating. There will be no visitation. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials may be made to the Blandinsville Christian Church or the Maple Avenue Christian Church Building Fund. Clugston Tibbitts Funeral Home in Blandinsville is in charge of arrangements. You may leave condolences and sign the guest book online at clugston-tibbittsfh.com.
