Gilbert Phillips, Nancy
86 of Scottsdale, passed away on September 25, 2017. Nancy was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and and a great friend. She will be remembered for the love of her family and for always being willing to help a friend in need. Nancy was born in the Bronx New York on April 13, 1931. She attended Adelphi University in New York and also received a Master's Degree in Social Work from The University of Southern California. She worked for the Los Angeles Department of Adoptions and then later in life owned and operated a chain of pet shops with her family, The Pet Pad, in Phoenix Arizona. She was also an artist, a performance artist and loved surrounding herself with beautiful things and designing her own homes. She is survived by her son Michael Solomon and his wife Wendy Solomon and her daughter Tricia Tosh, 5 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Services were held September 28, 2017 Paradise Memorial Gardens 9300 E. Shea Scottsdale, AZ Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley or to The American Cancer Society
