Nellie Murray Obituary
Phoenix - Nellie Magdalen Murray, 84, of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018. Nell was born in Jacquet River, New Brunswick, Canada to Edmund & Cecilia Cameron-Brown. She is survived by her loving family: son Stanley; daughters Susan & Barbara; 7 grand, 3 great-grandchildren; and her beloved cat "Smokey". Nell moved to Phoenix in 1964 after stays in Seattle, Washington and Santa Monica, California and did administrative work with the State of Arizona and Attorney General's office as well as the Veteran's Administration while raising her family along with beloved husband David E. Murray of 63 years. She is preceded in death by her husband and her daughter Donna Murray. Few share the vitality of a woman dedicated to the quality of life of everyone she encountered. Whether it be sunshine by the pool, listening and dancing to music, bowling or movie nights. Nell took great joy in the always humorous & lively conversation with those she loved being together with. A part of our hearts are lost without her but more than full of the happy memories with her that will endure forever. She was indeed the matriarch of our family and a beam of sunshine to those who knew and met her. Services will be held at 4:30pm, Thursday, May 10, 2018 at All Saints Episcopal Church, 6300 N. Mom, I miss you very much. All your hugs and smiles and sweetness will never be forgotten. I am sure you are happily reunited with Dad and can see Donna again as well. So sad with out all of you here.
