Mickey-Loomies were Mickey Mouse Balloons; the name was coined by Nick's daughter as a baby.
His daughter would be overjoyed at seeing and getting them.
When they went out , he would make it a point to get it/ them for her.
Because of that, a Mickey Mouse Balloon is also known as a " Mickey-Loomie" in our family.
Whenever and wherever I see a Mickey-Loomie, I tell the story he shared with me.
It begins when I perplex them by asking "Do you know what a Mickey-Loomie is?"
The question happens when I see one, and remember Nicky Jock.

NICKY JOCK Was a Prince of the Street.
His reputation was legendary.
The mention of his name would neutralize any misunderstanding.
You sought his advice and counsel and you mimicked his mannerism and behavior.
He was a look up to guy, an older brother
His physical and audible presence was bigger than life.
His booming and commanding voice was the center of attention.
His smile and laugh was contagious.
You felt alive and invulnerable when you were with NICKY JOCK.
He was a trusted, loyal, and dependable friend.
He will be forever remembered, missed, invoked, and saluted.
South Philadelphia has lost a brother and an icon
I still don't want to believe that he is gone.
God Bless his Family
