Norman Randall Obituary

Randall, Norman Bruce
born on March 11, 1947 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, was lovingly received by his Lord and Savior on June 17, 2012 at the age of 65. A resident of Phoenix since 1953, Bruce is survived by his wife Gina Bode "Orangie"; his children, Ian Z. Bode "Ski-Man" (Kelly Ann) and Jolie Ann Randall Delja "Jo Lobster" (Christopher); his grandchildren, Mikayla Jordan Bode "MJ," Madeline Kay Bode "the Slinskeroo," Serra Sophia Delja "Serrita," Charlie Blaise Delja "the Blaiser," and Teddy James Delja "the Surfer." He was pre-deceased by his parents Calvin Stanley Randall, of Marshfield, Massachusetts, and Betty Jane Randall (Cox) of Ina, Illinois. Bruce was an attorney and judge pro tempore for the cities of Phoenix, Peoria, Avondale, Surprise, and El Mirage. He found great pride and purpose in his professional life as a lawyer and a judge, and even more so as a loving father and grandfather. He often referred to his time with his children as "Bruce Daddy's Military School for Girls." Bruce considered his greatest accomplishments to be raising happy, confident children and grandchildren. He was a man of high integrity and unending devotion to his family. Bruce loved traveling to see the San Francisco Giants and the Boston Red Sox, eating outside at the Duck & Decanter, and driving Chevrolet Camaros (he owned seven throughout his life). He was a member of North Hills Church and an alumnus of Washington High School, Phoenix College, Arizona State University, and ASU Law School. He was caring, generous, smart, and funny, and he had a special nickname for everyone. Bruce touched many lives during his time on earth and will be greatly missed by all of his friends and family members.Visitation will be Friday, June 22 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a service on Saturday, June 23 at 1:00 p.m., at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 W. Bruce and I were high school sweethearts and shared some great times with each other and our families. Even as a teenager, he was so caring and had such an uplifting, humorous presence. Everyone was always so pleased to have him in our lives and I have always remembered my time with him. My sincere condolences to his family - how lucky you were to have had him!
