Quadlin, Patricia Moore
Age 57, of Mesa, AZ passed away peacefully on September 11, 2013 after fighting a courageous battle against pancreatic cancer. Pat was born in Detroit, MI on September 16, 1955. She is survived by her husband of 31 years Dave, her two sons Brett 28 and Sean 26, and her daughter Aubrey 8. She is also survived by her mother Betty, sisters Sandy, Barb, and Judy, and her brother John. Pat graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in Education in 1980 and earned a master's degree in education from Arizona State University in 1991. Pat taught math at Ironwood High School in Peoria, AZ for 24 years, serving as department head for 12 of them. She was a respected math educator known for her hands-on approach. Pat combined intelligence, compassion, and empathy toward others and was a natural leader. She loved to travel, attend concerts, hike, and spend time with friends. She was dearly treasured as a friend and mentor and was loved by those who knew her well. A memorial service in her honor will be held at Red Mountain United Methodist Church, 2936 N Power Rd, Mesa, AZ 85215 on Tuesday, September 17 at 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Aubrey Quadlin College Fund at Desert Schools Federal Credit Union (routing number 122187238, account number 6000190176).
