Vehon, Patricia "Patty" Ann
60, of Gilbert, Arizona passed away peacefully at home on April 07, 2013. Born July 24, 1952, an Arizona native, Patty loved her surroundings and all that it offered. She loved nature and the outdoors, working in her garden and caring for all animals. She enjoyed spending time in Oak Creek Canyon, where many family memories were made. Patty was a stay at home mom whose deepest passion was her family. Whether it was going to the movies or traveling with her husband, gardening and laughing with her boys, giggling along with her grandchildren as they crawled over her or just playing a game of cards and spending quality time with her family, she took in every moment and showed those around her how to truly love. Although cancer and its effects slowed her body down over the years, her love and spirit remained active and will remain with those who are left. Patty loved the Lord and He was a part of her everyday life. Patty was preceded in death by her mother Marilyn Christian and is survived by her husband Thom, her three sons: David, Dustin and Brian, her seven grandchildren: Quinton, Gage, Rory, Maisey, Anneliese, Samuel and Isabella, her siblings: Debbie Hiatt, David Christian and Pam Tarzwell and her father Leon Christian. A viewing will be held in the worship center at Central Christian Church - Mesa campus (933 North Lindsay Rd. Mesa, AZ) on Thursday April 11th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and a memorial service will be held in the same location on Friday April 12th at 11:00 a.m. with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Patty's name to either Central Christian Church Children's Ministry or The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
