Paul Alonas Obituary

Alonas, Paul
Passed away peacefully, at age 63, on April 15, 2010. Paul was a beloved father, brother, son, and friend. He had an incredible mind and sense of humor that will be missed among his friends and family. He was born on September 16, 1946 and grew up in Skokie, Illinois. He went to St. Peters Catholic School and Niles West High School. His knack for problem solving eventually led him to the University of Illinois, where he graduated with bachelor's and master's degrees in electrical engineering. He went on to work as an engineer for Motorola in Arizona, a job he held for thirty years before retiring to live out the rest of his life in quiet peace. He is survived by his two children, Eric and Alli
son, his sister Peggy, and his mother Clara. No memorial services for Paul are planned, although thoughts and memories are always appreciated. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association

I worked with Paul a few years ago, and gained special regard for him as a friend and human being. Fair-minded, forthright, articulate, good-humored, Paul was a delight to be with. May you be in peace, Paul! I miss you.
