Paul Edgecomb Obituary

Edgecomb, Paul Wilson
November 11, 1922 – May 17, 2009. Mr. Edgecombe passed away peacefully on Sunday May 17, 2009 at the age of 86, at Grandview Care Sun City West, Arizona. He was born November 11, 1922 in Binghamton, NY the son of George E. and Florence Ingraham Edgecomb. Paul married Theresa Miller in Binghamton, and they celebrated their 56 wedding anniversary just last year. He served in World War II in the U.S. Navy aboard an aircraft carrier in the Pacific. His entire career was with IBM, retiring as Director of World Trade. He was a proud Rotarian with perfect attendance for 35 years, serving in state and local positions, a member of the Binghamton Country Club and an avid golfer well into his 80's. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Terry and nine Edgecomb siblings. He is survived by a special great-nephew, Dr. Jeff Barnes of Texas, nieces and nephews and great-nephews and nieces and friends worldwide. A memorial service will be held in Binghamton, NY at a later date and his ashes will be interred there beside his wife. Memorial Services will be held at Desert Garden United Church on May 28, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. The Neptune Society is assisting the family with cremation.
