Paul Pearson Obituary

Paul Pearson

Scottsdale -

Paul Pearson passed on September 5th after a brave fight against cancer, likely caused by all the girls that kept hugging him and pinching his butt over the years.

If you look up the word "Selfless" in the dictionary, you will see a picture of Paul. His personal joy came from his gift of making everyone feel special. There is nothing he wouldn't do for his loved ones, his colleagues and his friends. So many examples to recount, such as the way he would call his great friend Brett Bodine as he drove home from NASCAR just to make sure he wouldn't fall asleep after a long day and then stay on the phone with him until the early hours of the morning just to make sure he was home safe.

Paul loved cars and racing. One of his most cherished possessions was his blue Buick. Many people consider the 2001 Buick LeSaber as one of the finest cars ever made. Paul loved nothing more than driving up to the valet station at a fancy restaurant and telling them to park it up front with the other expensive cars.

In his basement (if anyone was brave enough to venture down there), he had a complex train set up that always seem to be in a state of disarray, that project just meandered along at a glacial pace and he was just fine with that. We don't think he really wanted that to finish, just always stay on the journey.

Paul is survived by his "Beloved" Janice of Scottsdale, AZ. His sons Greg and his wife Meghan; Anthony and his wife Alisha along with Benjamin. His grandchildren Cole, Abigail, and Harper. His brothers Tom of Fort Worth and his wife Judy; Rick of Mequon and his wife Susan. His mother-in-law Frances of Port Hueneme. His sister-in-laws Teri of Stockton and her husband John; Debi of Phoenix and her husband chase. He is remembered by 4 nieces and nephews; 10 great nieces and nephews. And precious dogs Ellie and Olivia.

He was so humbled by the love and support he received and the incredible care by the staff at Scottsdale Honor Health, and they were angels for putting up with him :). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.

Paul was truly "selfless", more than anyone I have ever known. You were a "better person" for having had him in your life. He made everyone around him feel special. A great friend who will be truly missed. Dan Cleland
