Hi Sarah, I was glad to know your Dad at APS. He left us too soon. I will truly miss him along with many others. May God Bless you and your family. Take care. Shan Smith-Whitley - Glendale

Pete Joachim, to me, was the quintesential cowboy. He had and practised those traditional qualities we associate with cowboys in our Arizona Culture and he lived that. He was a kind, gentle, thoughtful man with firm opinions. His friendship to me was a golden gift and unforetable. I, like others, will miss him because I am a better person for having known him and we live in a better world because he was here. Patrick O'Reilly

I did not know Pete for nearly long enough, but I quickly got to know him well ... the advantage of a sincere and caring personality. I will greatly miss his presence on the Verde Vaqueros rides for the wisdom, the songs and genuine sincerity that he brought to the ride.

Gentle. Kind. Honest. Friendly. These and many more describe Pete. Very few of us is irreplacable but Pete came as close to that as I have ever known. His departure leaves a silence at our campfire but looking back, we were honored to have known him.
