maiden name Kuntz, age 76, passed away on Thursday November 13th, 2014. She died at her home of 27 years in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Born in Lebanon, PA, May 10th, 1938, the daughter of the late Robert H. Kuntz and Josephine M. Kuntz (maiden name Bastin). She attended primary school at Mountville, Jackson and Harrison schools in Pennsylvania. In the early 1950's the Kuntz family relocated to Oakland, CA, where she completed her studies at the ACADEMY OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION with her 6 siblings Joanna, Kathleen, Suzanne, Bob, Tom and Sam.

Her academic and religious studies led to the marriage of her beloved husband Raleigh G. Swinford Sr. on October 25th, 1958.

This fall of 2014, Rachael Ann Swinford and Raleigh G. Swinford Sr. celebrated their 56th Wedding Anniversary.

Rachael Ann Swinford was an amazing homemaker and cultivated her skills in the manner of fashion, design and hospitality. She enjoyed chronicling her family and world events through photography and personal video archiving.

Wining, dining, hats, maps and lifestyles brought out her personal character and enthusiasm for life. She was proud to be a classy, strong woman, mother, and wife.

Although all her dreams of traveling may not have manifested, she traveled for family and personal trips to Mexico, Hawaii, across the US. At age 66, she took a solo trip on the Alaska Ferry from Seward, Alaska, exploring the Southeast Inside Passage to Juneau.

She is survived by her husband Raleigh G. Swinford Sr.; Three children, Robin Swinford of Anchorage, Alaska, Raleigh Swinford Jr. of Florida, and Cynthia Swinford of Scottsdale, Arizona; Ten grandchildren, Athena, Maya, Raleigh the 3rd and Caitlin Swinford; Samantha, Jacquelyn (Jackie), Leo (Andrew), Katherine, Mathew Berg; Loranthew (Lolo) Coronado; Eight Great-grandchildren Tanah Swinford Hall; Jason, Chris, Victoria Fraiser; Clara and Eugene Poole, Olivia and Aubry Durrett.

She was preceded in death by her father Robert Kuntz, mother Josephine Kuntz, and brother Bob Kuntz.
