Randy Patheal Obituary
who was born on August 24, 1951, our beloved husband, father, brother and friend made it home October 28, 2008. A selfless, genuine and humble man, Randy taught the world about loyalty, patience and gratitude. In 1963, Randy moved to Tucson from Decatur, Illinois with his siblings. In May of 1984, he married the love of his life, Sherri Rae. Over the years, their love and devotion grew strong and sound. He will be remembered for his fair dealings and development in the valley's Sand and Rock industry. His life is celebrated by his adoring wife and daughters, Sherri and Lauren, his daughters Brandy Michelle Strunk and Christina Scott, his sister Bonnie Bailey, nine grandchildren, three nieces, four nephews and his dog Coal. Dad worked hard every day to ensure the safety and happiness of the girls he loved. He was trusted and admired by all and will be carried in our hearts and minds forever. A service to
honor Randy will be held at 11AM, Monday, November 3, 2008 at Desert Hills Mortuary at 6500 E. Bell Road in Scottsdale. Donations in Randy's memory can be made to the McKenzie Monks Foundation, 16646 E. Laser Dr. Fountain Hills, AZ 85268.

I just heard the sad news about Randy. I'm very sorry for your loss. I remember when we worked together you always had great things to say about your husband. And I know he was a very caring Dad.

I worked with Randy for several years. He was very influential in my career and that of many other young managers. What I remember most, was his sense of humor. He had an uncanny way of telling a funny joke or story. Though my boys never met him, they knew of him through my retelling of many of his funny stories. He will be sadly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

To the women he spent his life loving and taking care of it is with great sadness that now you must all continue his legacy by loving and taking care of each other. He has prepared you for this by way he lived his life dedicated to all of you. In this time remember to lean and lean hard on the family and friends that love you so and God who will give you strength you need. He will always be remembered because he gave so much and he was so loved!!!

My condolences, Randy is a great man, he truly will be missed. I had the pleasure of working with Randy, during that time, Randy took the time to teach me the business, learn the aspects of safety, and most of all believed in a young engineer. Randy has touched a lot of lives in his career, but without his wisdom, and knowledge he passed along to me, I would be where I am today. I will miss you tremendously

Family pulls together in times like these, more hugs, kinder words, and a gentle approach to each conversation. I'm sure that Randy is smiling at the great legacy that he has created and left behind. Lauren, we love you very much and in a short time feel like you are a very important part of our family. You had to have learned that from great parents... We pray that the pain and empty spot you now feel can be filled with great family memories, more hugs, and making sure that we all take care of the ones we have on earth each day.

Lauren and family,
Although I never had the opportunity to meet your father, I know this world is a better place because of the wonderful daughter that he raised. The greatest thing a parent can do in their lives is to set an example for their children of how they should treat others. I am sure he will be commended on a job well done by his father in heaven. Although this is a most difficult time in all of your lives, I hope that you can find some bit of comfort knowing that there are many of us that are thinking about you and praying for your comfort during this sorrowful time.
