Raymond Revait Obituary

Raymond Revait

Raymond Revait began his journey in Windsor Ontario Canada born to parents Loretta and John Revait. He grew up the third of nine children, all but one, his dear sister Mable; have predeceased him. He has many nieces and nephews that will remember him fondly. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the Canadian Army in the tank division. After the war he married Dorothy LaCroix and had two children, Tom Revait and Diana Johnson, (Frank, deceased). They moved as a family to AZ in 1950. He proudly became a naturalized citizen in 1955. In 1959 he went to work for Motorola, retiring in 1988. During these years he became a grandfather to Brian Bratzel. Sadly, in 1981 his wife Dorothy passed. Ray enjoyed working as an umpire. He participated with his Motorola colleagues in golf tournaments. Ray was blessed in love for a second time. In 1987 he met and married Catherine Propheter. He now had three additional step-children and their spouses: Cyndi DeBoer, (Terry, deceased) Bill Propheter (Karin) and Ed Propheter (Jana). He again was blessed with being a grandfather to 9 grandchildren (one who predeceased him) and 8 great grandchildren. Catherine's passing in 2013 left Ray with many wonderful memories of their life together. They had enjoyed traveling, belonging to the Zane Grey Twirlers and spending time in their home in Strawberry, AZ. They were both very active members of the Pine Senior Center. Ray's journey on earth concluded with his passing on November 30, 2019. It leaves us with saddened hearts but grateful for many happy memories of our parents and grandparents respectively. We thank Wendy and Barbara from Hospice of the Valley and Nora and Leo for the kind caretaking in his final days. Per his wishes there will be no services. Those wishing to donate a remembrance in his name may do so to Hospice of the Valley 1510 East Flower, Phx. AZ or hov.org/donate
