Raymond West Obituary

West, Raymond Allen
79 of Rio Verde, Arizona, passed away on May 28, 2017 surrounded by his family. Raymond was born (1937) and raised in Beaumont, Texas where he attended Lamar University and ultimately was partner in an oil valve repair business. After retirement Raymond and Barbara moved to Scottsdale to be closer to their children. Raymond's wife, children and grandchildren were the center of his world, second only to his faith. His laugh was contagious and he was rarely seen without a smile on his face. Raymond was loved by many and he will be missed greatly. He also enjoyed remodeling, gardening and reading. Survivors include his wife Barbara, daughter and son-in-law Deborah and Greg Bernett, daughter and son-in-law Elizabeth and James Wilson, two adoring granddaughters Mackenzie and Morgan Bernett, brother Vernon West and other extended family. There will be a service honoring Raymond at North Scottsdale United Methodist on Sunday June 11, 2017 at 2:30 pm. Donations can be made in Raymond's memory to North Scottsdale United Methodist 11735 N. Scottsdale Rd Scottsdale, AZ 85254 or Hospice of the Valley 1510 E Flower Phoenix, AZ 85014
