We'll always remember Dr. "D." She remains in prayers. She taught us young and nervous parents how to care for a new life; that we didn't have take our baby daughter to her every time she cried.

I worked with Dr. D as a 3rd year medical student. From the onset of my time with her, it was very apparent that she was a caring and outstanding physician along with being a dedicated educator. She taught me things about pediatric medicine that I will never forget and will help me take care of my future pediatric patients. I will keep her in my thoughts and I wish her family the best.

Dr D was the best Dr ever for my daughter, who had Juvenile diabetes at age 7.Dr D actually treated her from about 4 yrs old to 16 yrs old. She saved Debbies life numerous times. Debbie passed away two years ago. Maybe they will be Angel friends, cuz I know Debbie loved her. I am now raising Debbie's daughter, Chanel 14 yrs old , who also saw Dr D several times. She was direct and straitforward, but always kind and sympathetic. Phoenix has lost its best pediatrician. We are so very sorry for your loss. May God Bless the D'Ambrosio and Scappatura families.

An amazing person, Doctor and trusted family friend. Dr. D was the pediatrician for my wife and her two brothers, and then for my kids who are now 16 and 18. That multiple generations of many families sought both her friendship and expertise is a testament to her as both a person and a Doctor. Our family's thoughts and prayers are with Dr. D's family.

Dr. D dedicated herself to caring for children and teaching pediatric residents at St. Joseph's Hospital & Medical Center the art of pediatrics even to the very last day. She was a great teacher. She educated many residents over her years in practice. For almost ten years she volunteered at the Pediatric Ambulatory Care Center at St. Joseph's every Wednesday morning while continuing to run her busy practice. Over the years, she received many teaching awards from the pediatric residents recognizing her excellence and dedication to teaching. She lives on in our hearts through her work and love of children to inspire and guide us.
We will miss her dearly and share in your sorrow.

Dr. D, I just wanted to say thank you for being so good to my children. I also want to thank you for being so good to me. My mother began taking me to CMC when I was a newborn, and D. Lukens was my PCP.Shortly after, I began seeing you, Dr. Lukens, and Kaye. When I had my own children, there was no question on where I would take them and who I trusted. I could always count on you to be honest. And when you were the Dr. on call, you called back right away. All the Doctors at CMC,are great, but you were part of the 3 that I will always remember.Like so many families, they will say you are like family.Maybe you did not realize how many lives you touched, but now you know...Always greeting the parents when walking into the room by" Hi mom or hi dad", it was always a pleasure to see you. May God Bless you and your family. I am sure you were welcomed by those you had helped and had passed on...You will be greatly missed Dr. D.......CMC will never be the same. ....Thank you for everything.............

Dr. "D" was an inspiration and a great teacher. As a former pediatric resident, Dr. D was one of my favorite attending physicians to have around. We used to have a great time talking and laughing and discussing her next vacation. She will be greatly missed by many and many future pediatricians in Phoenix will have missed out on being taught by one of the best. You are always in our hearts.

We are very sorry to learn of "Dr. D's." passing. She was our daughter's pediatrician, from our daughter's birth in December of 1980 to 1984 when we moved to Oxnard, California. Dr D not only helped our daughter but us as young parents who knew little about parenting or caring for a child. We often took our daughter to see Dr. D for what were probably minor reasons, but she was always very understanding. We still remember her wise counsel, comfort and advise. She had a life-long impact on us, and for this are most grateful. Our condolences to the entire family and to all us families for whom she was a pediatrician. She became part of our families too.
