Oct. 4, 1938 - Feb. 27, 2015 Richard M. Fogg, 76 of Gales Ferry and Arizona went to be with the Lord on Feb. 27, 2015 in the company of his loving family. He was born Oct. 4, 1938 in Portsmouth, NH. the son of the late Ernest Fogg and Louise (Haigh) Vivirito. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1958, was a Vietnam Veteran serving on the USS Proteus and was honorable discharged. He was united in marriage to the former Jeanne Sarette on June 19, 1985 in Las Vegas, NV., Mrs. Fogg survives him. Mr. Fogg owned and operated Chandler Auto Body & Used Cars in Chandler, AZ. before retiring in 1997. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider, taking trips with his wife and sister and brother in-law Elaine and George Wakefield to Canada, the mid-west and southern parts of the U.S. He raced late model cars on dirt race tracks in AZ. with the number 32 and 44. Besides his beloved wife of 30 years, he is survived by seven siblings; Robert Fogg of Groton, Russell Fogg of Mystic, John and wife Annette Fogg of Groton, James and wife Debby Fogg of Waterford, June Thormahlem of Groton, Elizabeth Fogg-Kessler of MA., Helene Sobanski of Bozrah and 29 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Kim Marie Grzysiewicz and two siblings, Helen Arnold and William Fogg. His family received relatives and friends on Wednesday at the Impellitteri-Malia Funeral Home, 84 Montauk Ave. New London. Followed by a service at Harvest Christian Fellowship at 11 A.M. in Niantic. Interment in the Westfield Cemetery in Danielson with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, donations to Harvest Christian Fellowship, 5 Freedom Way, Niantic, CT 06357 or Vitas Hospice, 6628 Hebron Ave. Suite 300, Glastonbury, CT 06033. A Celebration of Life will be held in Chandler Arizona at a later time and date to be announced.
