I offer my condolences to Dr. Goodell's family. Dr. Goodell was a great doctor to work with back on 6 east. He definitely had his funny moments. Very strong too. We both wrangled a few altered patients together in the hopes that they would not hurt themselves. He wasn't afraid to jump on in to help.

Rick was a great physician who always sought the very best management and outcomes for his patients, putting in long hours toward those ends. Admiration of his enormous coping skills, strength of character and zest for life will remain with me forever.

Rick, it was an honor and a privilege to have shared so many fun times with you. I'll never forget our athletic endeavors and wilderness adventures, especially Nepal. Your friendship meant the world to me and I will miss you deeply.

Rick was the smartest man I've ever met - but his dry sense of humor made him easy and fun to talk to. He took an interest into whoever he was talking with. He was very considerate and always asked how the family was doing, how my photography was going, what vacations we had planned, etc. He lived such a full life. He will be SO missed, but never forgotten.

His dry wit and intelligence at the hospital, hikes at Lake Powell, cocktail hours sharing stories...these are the memories that I will cherish with Rick! He is missed every day...I'm so glad to call him my friend.
