Richard Matta Obituary
age 46, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at his home in Phoenix, AZ after a 13-year battle with cancer. Rich lived life to the fullest, and was passionate about his family and friends, his dogs, and his many hobbies: cars, guns, motorcycles, cigars, and music. He faced life's challenges with humor, dignity, and courage. He was a beloved husband, devoted father and grandfather, cherished son, son-in-law, loving brother, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew and a faithful friend. RIch is survived by his wife and soul mate Leslie (Kent) Matta of Phoenix, AZ, daughters Kasey Matta and Nichole Matta and grandson Drayden Webster, parents Rich and Jan Matta, sister Lori Stout, niece Lauren (John) Thompson and nephew Joe Stout, and many other friends and family who will hold Richard in their hearts and minds forever. Forever endeavor my love. A memorial service to celebrate Rich's life will be held on Saturday, February 23 at 10:00 am at Canyon Ridge Christian Church, 6200 W. Lone Mountain Road, Las Vegas, NV 89130.

Farewell to a man who won many battles but at last the war was too long and could not be won. You had a wonderful sense of humor and will be missed greatly. You were born into one of the best families I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, they are the ones left with the emptiness, I hope their healing is quick as you left enough memories to fill the rest of their lives.
