Richard McBride Obituary

McBride, Richard L. Jr.
age 58. A longtime resident of Tempe, Arizona passed away peacefully and suddenly at Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center on August 3rd, 2016. Richard was born on August 28, 1957 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was raised in a Military Family and received his early education on Military Bases. Richard is the eldest Son of Richard L. McBride Sr. and Mary McBride. He is survived by his Daughters, Julie Price(Lavell), Amanda DiCarlo(Joseph) and five Grandchildren. Also he is survived by his Mother, Mary McBride, Brother, Ronald McBride(Dee Dee) and Sister, Karen Ruby-McBride, Nieces, Casie Prieto(Travis) and Hannah Ruby and Nephew, William (Bill) Ruby III . He is predeceased by his Father, Richard L. McBride Sr. and Son, Richard L. McBride III, Sister, Maria McBride and Niece, Tania D. Ruby. Richard graduated from Tempe High School in 1975. Richard served his country in the Army as a Financial Specialist. He received an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Computer Science in 1985 from ITT Technical Institute. On May 21, 2015, he suffered a catastrophic illness that took his mobility away. Our family and his caretakers were amazed at the grace and acceptance he embraced his severe limitations. Our family would like to thank Barrow's Neurological Institute at St. Joseph's Hospital, Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center and Plaza Health Care for their dedication, compassionate, loving, kind and skilled care they gave our loved one. We will miss Richard's gentle ways, his sense of humor, his sweet smile and the way he loved his family unconditionally. Some of Richard's happiest times were when he was living with his family in Perrysburg, Ohio. Richard also had a lifelong love of music. He was classically trained to play the piano as a young man and by 14 years old, he was playing in concerts in his church. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He amazed us with his knowledge of all major Sports, he was like talking to a Sports Encyclopedia. It was well known how much he enjoyed working on computers and interacting with animals, especially his little black cat Buddy. Our family is grateful knowing Richard is at peace and is joyful in that beautiful, heavenly place where there is safety and abundance of everlasting love. Arrangements were entrusted to Angel's Cremation and Burial. No services are scheduled at this time.
