Richard Pankey Obituary

Richard Ray Pankey died Feb 8, 2005 after a long struggle with heart disease. He was born Feb 4, 1937 to John Lewis and Oda Marie Pankey in Eldon, Mo. He moved to the Kansas City, Kansas area at a young age and resided there until moving to the Phoenix area in 1991. He is survived by his wife Donna Pankey of the home, daughters Cindy Stroble of Topeka, Ks, Beth and Kenneth Oesterreich of Phoenix, son Mark Anderson of Prairie Village, Ks, grandson whom he raised, Jason and Desiree' Rather of Camp Verde, Az, brothers Larry and Jan Pankey of Merriam, Ks, Mike and Joyce Pankey of Kansas City, Mo, Sisters Bonnie and Pat Boyle , Dorothy and Floyd Wyrick of Overland Park, Kansas. Grandchildren Chase, Cady and Kennie Oesterreich of Phoenix, Cody Pankey of Kansas City, Ks. , great grandchild Lacey Rather and special friend and nephew Jeff and Scottie Pankey of Osage, Mo and several neices and nephews and cousins whom he dearly loved. He was preceeded in death by his parents, brothers Don and James Leroy Pankey, sister Kathy Eichelberger and son Cary Pankey.

Donna, I wanted to say that you all are in our thoughts and prayers. Richard will be missed by everyone who knew him he was a wonderful person with a big heart. alot of my childhood memories are staying over at you house in Merriam.I know he is in Heaven with My Dad. Love you always Jean
