Rick Danielson Obituary

Rick Danielson, 52, of New Orleans passed away on July 21 2008. It is with great sadness in our hearts that we announce the unexpected death of Rick Edward Danielson on July 21, 2008. Rick was the beloved father of Joi and Aaron Danielson, beloved brother of Jill, Jodi, Bart, Kris and Dirk Danielson, son of Dr. Harry and Beverly Danielson and former husband of Kathleen North and partner of Yenny Archbold. With a profound understanding of ancient history and cultures, his intellectual travels took him to many parts of the world. A scholar of Egyptology, Rick not only could read and write ancient hieroglyphics but explored many pyramids and unknown sites making numerous historical findings. He was a former computer business consultant for COMPUSA in Metairie, LA. He was a brilliant man, inventor, mathematician, writer and revolutionary thinker. He will be missed dearly by everyone who knew him. In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to the Rick Danielson Memorial Fund FBO Aaron Danielson, his son, at any Bank of America or Hancock Bank branch. Services will be held in Redmond Oregon at the Redmond Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, the 30th of July at 2pm.

Dear Dr. and Mrs. Danielson,

I am so sorry to hear about Rick's passing. He was such a kind and gentle soul, I have such fond memories of playing basketball at your home (Central/Bethany) and on the team at Central with Rick. My prayers are with your entire family, thanks for sharing Rick with me, even if it was for a moment in time.
