Robert Altendorf Obituary
Robert L "Bobby Lee" Altendorf was born in Liberty Kansas on October 7,1924. Bobby Lee was a singer entertainer. He had his own radio show at age 16, from there he was drafted into the Army as a Pfc rifleman. Bobby Lee landed in Normandy and marched across France to Kriegsheim France where he was critically wounded, in the head, then transported via hospital ship to Percy Jones hospital center, Fort Custer Michigan. After his Honorable discharge, he resumed his music career. Bobby Lee recorded in Nashville Tenn., performed at the "Grand old Opry and toured to country with several top country stars, including "Little Jimmy Dickens." Bobby lee and his beloved wife Willie moved to and settled in Scottsdale, AZ. He performed for about 25 years at Marshalls U.S.A. Bobby Lee was an Arizona country performer of the year several times and ultimately inducted in the Arizona country hall of fame. Bobby Lee was loved by all for his singing as well as being a good husband, father, entertainer and a good friend to all. Bobby Lee was a "One of a Kind" type personality. He will be remembered and missed by all who came in contact with him. He passed on March 16, 2017. He is survived by his step daughter, Jeanne Strom, son,Timmy Altendorf, step sons, Donnie Admire and Ronnie Wood. He also had eight grand children and several great grand children. Services will be at the National Cemetery on March 30, 2017 at 11:00 am. R.I.P. Bobby Lee.
