Robert Behrens Obituary
Scottsdale - Robert (Bob) Chadwick Behrens was born in Atlanta, GA on January 17, 1951. Bob spent his childhood in Merced, CA, until attending Univ. of California, Riverside. After graduation he moved to Scottsdale, AZ where he worked for many years in the financial arena. He lost his brave battle with cancer on August 7, 2018. Bob is preceded in death by his mother Eileen Kaine Behrens and survived by his father and step-mother, Robert C. Behrens and Anne Behrens (Phoenix, AZ), sister, Leslie Fournier (Merced, CA) and two brothers Richard Behrens (Phoenix, AZ) and Stephen Behrens (Gilbert, AZ). The family had a small gathering to celebrate Bob's life.

UC Riverside posted on FB today about the now defunct football team. Instantly, the name Bob Behrens popped in my head. Reminded me of when I went to work for Sutro and met Bob. He found out I went to UCR and told me he was on the football team and i didn't believe him. In my short time knowing him way back when I remember he was a really good guy. Sorry for your loss.

I just learned of Bob(by)'s passing today by reading the UCR Magazine. Very sad! Bob + I were undergrads together at UCR and then went through the UCR Graduate School of Business together as well. Have many fond memories - and like Bob Harris' note below - wished we'd stayed in better contact. Bob was always fun to be around - he let me borrow the famous red Jag on occasion - and I'm confident will be missed by many! RIP my friend!

My heart felt condolences to the family. I was a college roommate of Bob's and knew him well. We shared many great times at UC Riverside. Just found out about his passing on 8-24-18 and shared it with two of Bob's other college roommates, Pat Maley and Gary Cappelleti. We spent an hour and a half trading stories about Bob. He was well liked and always was up for a good prank. I wish I had stayed in contact with him on a more regular basis but life just moves too fast. Bless you Bob, I know you have been welcomed into the Kingdom of God with open arms. Robert (Bob) Harris

I knew Bob since I was in 1st grade. We both graduated from Merced High School in 1969. We loved to go to football games to see Bobby play, and boy was he a good guarter back. I lost contact with him over the years. Dr. Beherns and Leslie I am so sorry for your loss. I will always have wonderful memories of Bobby. He will be missed. God bless you through this hard journey.
