Robert Drye Obituary
Dr. Robert C. (Bob) Drye died at the age of 86, on April 28th, 2014, at his home in Tempe. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, educated at Exeter Academy ('44), MIT ('47) and New York University School of Medicine ('51). He married Vivian Nevue in 1955. She died in 1979. He practiced psychiatry in Chicago, IL, Carmel, CA, and Oil City, PA. He moved to Tempe in 1994 where he worked for the US Postal Service, was active in his church and with the local Democratic Party. He is survived by his companion of 21 years, Neria Ryder, his sister Anne Hurlbert, seven children, eighteen grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Private services are pending.

I was a live in Mother's Helper (1960-63) in River Forest IL. I've often sent cards throughout the years and I am so sad hear Bob is no longer with us. I hope the family will continue to keep in touch. I send them my fondest love and sympathy

Hello! My name is Patricia H. DeWoolfson Colvin. I worked for your father in Seaside, CA in the 70s at the Monterey Bay Professional Buildings. My daughter, Nicole and I were invited to visit your home in VT which we did and enjoyed the beauty of it all. I was looking up your Dad's name to contact him after all of these years to say hello and I found that he has passed away. I am sending my sincere sympathy to you all. He was a fine man and a good Dr. who cared for and took care of so many people in need. He taught me so much and I enjoyed my time with the group.
