Dear Velma, Dan, Richard, Connie and families. We are so very sorry to hear about Bob's passing. It is very hard to believe and comprehend. We sure enjoyed visiting with Bob and all of you at the Lohmeier reunion in 2006 and than again at Aunt Lucille's 95th birthday party this summer. We are especially glad now that we were able to visit with Bob. He was so much fun & Ron loved talking to him about his cars. God is always in your corner at a time like this--and so are we. Please call anytime if there is anything we can do. We love all of you.

Velma, Danny, Richard, Connie and families, We were so sad to hear of Bob's passing. What a wonderful neighbor, friend and Dad he was. You were all so kind to my parents and children. We missed you so much when you moved from Limon. After many years, we looked across the street and there was no motorhome or boat to be seen and your kids had all grown up.

We are praying for you during this very difficult time and know you will reflect on the many happy memories of all the fun times you spent together.

In friendship, Judy Jaklich, Brenda Jaklich Benedict, Littleton, CO.

To The Monks Family,
When I first met Robert 24 years ago
I was 18 and his son Richard gave me my first job and opportunity to work in the Heavy Construction Field (The Job Site was next to the Skyview Drive-In on top of 21st St.)
Richard and I were enjoying a free movie, pizza and beer on a Cat Water Wagon when a oiler pulled away from a scraper which he was fueling and forgot to take the fuel nozzle out of the fuel tank, which spilled out a very large amt. of fuel. After the Fire Dept came and left, the A** Chewing that Robert gave us never stopped. Robert was my first real taste of responsibility.
I will never forget him and what he stood for. He was a very straight forward and Smart Business Man.
You will be missed and thought of often.I appreciate the opportunity that this Family gave me.

It was with great sadness that we learned of Bob's passing this past Friday. Having lost one of our parents to a similar illness, we have tremendous empathy and respect for you, his family, and the support you provided Bob through these difficult times. Our prayers are with you. Bob is at peace now, and we can't help but smile knowing that, if he's not swinging his favorite iron, he's driving it, moving dirt around, just for the fun of it. He will be missed.
