Robert Shupe Obituary

Shupe, Robert Wesley Sr.
Loving husband, father and grandfather passed away in his beloved Phoenix, Arizona on January 20, 2012 at the age of 91. He was born and raised in Albion, Illinois, and married his high school sweethheart, Mildred Orr, at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas on April 10, 1943 while serving int he United States Army. He was a decorated World War II veteran, having seen action in Europe with the 95th Infantry Division and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with oak leaf cluster. He relocated his family from Indiana to Phoenix in 1958. He had a long and successful career in the manufacturing and banking industries, retiring from First Interstate Bank of Arizona as a bank officer. His parents, Wesley and Parthenia Shupe, his brother Nile, sister Mildred, and his wife preceded him in death. He is survived by his three children, Robert Shupe, Jr., Cynthia Shupe and her husband, Ivan, and Gregory Shupe and his wife, Diane, and three grandchildren, Linsey, Mattison and Hannah.
