Robert Taylor Obituary
85, of Phoenix, AZ, passed February 14, 2016. Bob was born in Phoenix, AZ on April 18, 1930 and attended Northern Arizona University. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was in the insurance business for many years. Bob's community involvement included working on various charity events including the Phoenix Children's Hospital, the Science Center, Scratch and Sniff Ball benefiting animals, the Opera Ball, Arthritis Oscar Night, Arthritis Salute to Summer, the Phoenix Symphony and other charities. He is survived by his wife Barbara Caldwell - Taylor; four daughters Nancy Hushek (Paul), Deborah Taylor, Carolyn Taylor - Leetma (Ivar) and Patricia Duque; two granddaughters Sally Houx and Carolyn Wagner (Brett); one great - granddaughter Sophia Houx and his faithful companions (his dogs) Courtney and Madison. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 17th from 5:00PM - 7:00PM with Rosary at 6:30PM at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale. A memorial Mass will be held on Friday, February 19th at 1:00 p.m. at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, 5045 E. Thomas Rd., Phoenix, AZ. Bob was privately placed at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix, AZ. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Phoenix Chapter, 4550 E. Bell Rd., Suite 126, Phoenix, AZ 85032 or the American Diabetes Association, Phoenix Chapter, 5333 N. 7th St., Suite B-212, Phoenix, AZ 85014.
