I remember Ronnie as the handsome, always smiling boy that lived across the street on Trafalgar Ave. He always took time to say something nice to everyone. I can't help but remember his green/gold pickup truck that he always kept in perfect condition, when I think of Ronnie. I'll never forget his perpetual smile and kindness he had for everyone. He couldn't help it, that's just the way he was.......

I was very shocked at the news of Ron's passing. I retired from MCSO many years ago so I hadn't seen Ron for a long time and was not aware of his illness. I remember him as a very helpful and caring person. I feel blessed to have known and worked with Ron. He touched many lives and will be deeply missed. My sincere sympathy goes out to all his family and friends.

Ronnie, although it has been many years since I have seen you, I do have fond memories of you and your family playing at Becky and Andy's and at many family functions I was lucky to be part of.
You were the big brother of a beautiful family and you will find peace in the arms of your mother and father who will be waiting for you. You touched the lives of many especially your sister Becky. I hope that you can say hello to your family with God for me. I miss them too. Many of my memories are of all of you "Arellanes" who filled my life in Arizona with laughter and love. God Bless You.

To my friends, The Vidaure family and their extended Arellanes family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. I just read all the great stories of your brother, Becky, and by reading, it is evident the world lost a kind heart. May his love and memory transend in all of you. Your friend, Bandita BFL

One of the truly nice, true friends it was my pleasure to have known and worked with. Ron was always an exceptional person even when he was in pain during his years with the SO, prior to leaving he did his best to keep people up beat and not "share" his pain. I will look forward to seeing you again my friend.

My prayers go out to my cousins Melissa, Geoffrey & Michael during this difficult time. I am here for you guys. Seek God for peace & comfort to get you through this.

Remember...
Happy moments, Praise God.
Difficult moments, Seek God.
Quiet moments, Worship God.
Painful moments, Trust God.
Every moment, Thank God.

I will always remember my childhood memories with you Tio Ronnie. You were a great Tio! You even put up with me under your roof in high school for awhile :) but I never stepped on that grass! God forbid... you had too many shotguns haha. You had the best lawn I have ever seen! Nobody I know took care of their yard like you. Oh and I can't forget your red truck that you washed & polished so often. You have passed down that wonderful trait of taking care of your things... my cousins have the cleanest shoes in town and can iron clothes like nobody's business. These were just a few memories that stick out. :)

In all seriousness, you will be missed. I will cherish all the wonderful memories you enriched my life with and I know those who knew you will do the same.

Love you!

Few people in my life have touched my soul the way you have. I remember being a young Officer fresh off active duty in the Marine Corps and you would always tell me "slow down Marine and listen first, then act." You were the best Commander and a true friend. Rest in peace my Brother.

There are only a handful of people who come into your world, and touch your life in a dramatic fashion. Some of the people are just flickers of light during a long life, while others are will glows for years. Ron you were that one. I will remember our time in training; I will remember your sense of humor.

One of the funniest times was when people would call you Medina, and I, Arellanes. We could never see the likeness. Then one day my son and I went to the hospital to visit my dad. During the visit with my dad in the hospital the patient next to him keep staring and said
“ Ronnie! Why are you visiting that man and who was that little boy” I said I wasn’t Ronnie. He apologized saying he thought I was Ronnie Arellanes his nephew. After telling this to you we just decided to not correct people and go with the flow…

Thanks Ron for your time you are in a much better place, Go with God my brother I will not only miss you I will remember you.

When Dora Arellanes called us and told us that Ronnie had passed away we were hoping it wasn't so. Ron has endured so many years of pain and know that his maker has special plans for him. We hope his family can find some kind of peace knowing that Ron was so well thought of. I worked for so many years with him at MCSO and have some great memories. We were able to see him from time to time after MCSO when we would gather with some of his family (Joe,Dora). Our prayers go out to his family.

Ronnie had a wonderful, infectious laugh and a great big smile. He made me feel very important when he asked me to stand up for him in his wedding when I was a kid. He is with his earthly parents and our Heavenly Father now and that comforts me. I hope it comforts his family, also.
Our prayers are with all of the Arellanes during this difficult time.

My fondest memories of my career are the ones with you in them. I was always in awe of you...

You are the epitome of class and integrity. You taught me more than I could ever list on this short entry..

You always spoke highly of your wife, had the funniest stories about your wonderful children and gave us a good laugh about your escapades as a boy with lots of sisters...

You were my role model, confidante, leader and most of all, a true friend. I will miss your wonderful sense of humor, all the teasing and ribbing, and most of all, your kind heart. Thank you Ron, you will be missed always.

Ronnie was a very special cousin, always smiling and sweet. I can still see his warm brown eyes, twinkly and crinkly at the corners like his smile. I understood alot of the pain that he endured. He's now with loving family who were waiting for him with open arms, especially my Tia and Tio who no longer have to worry about their guero tostado. My heart and prayers go to my cousins who loved their big brother and took such good care of him. God bless you, and I love you.

Ronnie was a very special cousin; always smiling and sweet. In my mind's eye I can still see his warm brown eyes and how they crinkled at the corners just like his smile. I understood alot of the pain that he endured. He's joined other loving family that were waiting for him with open arms, especially my Tia and Tio, who no longer have to worry about their guero tostado. My heart and prayers go out to my cousins who loved their brother and took such good care of him. God bless you.

Often people say that "I wish we had more time." Although this is true, I will always treasure the time we had.

Whether we were spending time with each others family or just you and I playing golf or working on a project together. These are things that I will never forget.

I will miss you my friend.
