Rosemarie Walsh Obituary

Walsh, Rosemarie
76, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2012, surrounded by her family and friends. Rose is survived by the love of her life for 57 years, Jack. She was a devoted mother to Debra Miller, (Richard) and John Jr., (Jessica Shaw). She was cherished by her grandchildren, Melissa and Justin Miller and Shanice and Xander Shaw-Walsh. She was a loving sister to Susan Enright, (Jim), and aunt to 8 nieces and nephews. Rose was born in Medford, MA and was an accomplished dancer as a teen, winning numerous contests and awards. After marriage the family moved to Ft. Wayne, IN in 1968. She ran a small women's boutique called The Fig Leaf. After making life long friends they moved to Arizona in 1980. Rosemarie's most cherished role was mother and over the years she became a second mother to her sister, Susan, niece, Sherry, and nephew Jim, and late nephew, John. Rose and Jack moved to Arizona Traditions in Surprise in 2004 and have many dear friends. Rose rediscovered her love of shuffleboard and you could often find her in the clubhouse playing a match. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at St. Clare of Assisi in Surprise. Following the funeral there will be an interment at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Cave Creek. In
lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley. Please visit www.menkefuneralhome.com to share memories and leave condolences for the family.
